YOUNGSTER ADMITS COPYING VIDIC

Cameron Carter-Vickers – one of the youngsters at White Hart Land admits to copying former Manchester United top defender Nemanja Vidic.

The player has been with Hotspurs from a tender age. He seems to have gotten his break into the first team even at the tender age of 18. The Under 23 US international admitted on the club’s official website [tottenhamhotspur.com] that he used to copy the popular Premier League defender when he was younger.

“I thought he was quite a tough, resilient defender who would throw his body on the line. Which I try to do,” he said.
Spurs would definitely reap bountiful rewards if the youngster is close to the level the Serbian reached at Old Trafford.

Keep the cameras out

It is sometimes thought that football games which aren’t televised live can often be a better watch for the spectators in attendance.

There are a number of reasons for this, but in today’s world so many football clubs love to have their games televised, so much so that for an Arsenal, Chelsea or Manchester City or United fan it is almost possible for them to watch their team in action every week, regardless of where they live.

When it comes to the games themselves, with the TV cameras in attendance it can bring pressure to the fore in two different ways.

Players such as Wayne Rooney or Eden Hazard are so used to the cameras being at their games that they can thrive off it, with Rooney and Hazard, amongst others, providing plenty of entertainment down the years in live games.

VIDIC MOVES ON

Manchester United will have big shoes to fill in the summer when they head into the transfer market in search of a player to replace Nemanja Vidic, who has been the captain of the club in the last few years.

Replacing Vidic will be a tall order since the Serbian defender has been impressive for United since coming to the club in 2006. Former Manchester United midfielder David McCreery says that it is definitely a big job for United, but he is of the opinion that the club already have a player capable of filling in the boots. According to him, defender Jonny Evans is capable of replacing Vidic as the regular centre back for United.

VIDIC LEFT OUT

Nemanja Vidic’s groin injury left him out of Manchester United’s Champions League match against Olympiakos, this will be his last season with the Premier League club after it was revealed that a deal with Inter Milan has already been completed.

The Serbian defender is hoping that Edin Dzeko will join him in the Italian club. Edin Dzeko is mostly playing as a substitute or backup player in Manchester City as Manuel Pellegrini usually prefers using Alvaro Negredo as his target-man and he will be seeing even less playing time in the club when Sergio Aguero recovers from his injury.

It still remains unknown whether Dzeko will be joining Vidic in his move to Inter Milan but it is believed that the Serbian is going to try to influence the Manchester City forward in moving to the Serie A.

SONG LINKED TO UNITED

Alex Song is not a consistent starter for Barcelona and Manchester United can take advantage of this as the Premier League club is interested in signing the Cameroonian midfielder.

In December of 2013, Song was linked with a possible move to either Arsenal or Manchester United but the midfielder rejected all the offers that were made as he replied by saying that he wants to prove himself in Barcelona but his lack of matches if evidence that he still has not gained all the confidence of the head coach Gerardo Martino.

It is believed that Song is eager for playing time and that David Moyes is ready to make a move for him. The 26 years old midfielder was given a rare start for Barcelona when they went against Real Sociedad a few days ago and he scored a goal which ultimately led to the 3rd defeat that Barcelona suffered in this season.

Vidic’s Exit Poses Further Troubles

Soccer superstar Nemanja Vidic’s sudden announcement to leave his 8-year stint with Manchester United is predicted to beget further woes for the already troubled Old Trafford football team. Vidic has left his old squad in quest of new challenges in his career.

The tragic bit with Man U is that following Vidic’s exit, the esteemed soccer club is about to lose out on two of its most precious leaders Rio Ferdinand & Patrice Evra.

No wonder, the Man U authority is in a disturbed state off late. “The Blues have signed up with some of A-one European soccer superpowers”, stated City’s website while declaring the news of departure of its most favorite contemporary leaders. The next line of the message duly brings in an extra effect with the winking emoticon. “Neighbors Man U would be appearing too”, it said.

It was one of the most troubling seasons for the club & Vidic’s recent announcement has shaken the club terribly.

VIDIC MISSES OUT

Nemanja Vidic will be miss out from Manchester United’s next 2 matches after his harsh tackle on Chelsea’s Eden Hazard saw him receiving a red card. The player and the club later tried to appeal against the red card but it was rejected and the Football Association already stated a response stating: “The player’s three-match suspension commences with immediate effect.”

The Serbian defender is going to miss out from Manchester United’s Premier League matches against Cardiff City and Stoke City.

This is another huge blow for David Moyes and the struggling team that each week seems to do worse, considering they are out of the top 5 spots of the Premier League and already eliminated from the Capital One Cup as well as the FA Cup as they were defeated against Sunderland and Swansea City.

CRISIS

Manchester United’s defensive crisis under David Moyes has largely been down to a constantly changing the four due to the injuries for the likes of Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand. Now that the club captain Nemanja Vidic has recovered sufficiently fitness in order to play regularly, the defensive performance of the team is expected to improve.

However, Moyes has stated that no player will get differential treatment because of the work they have done in the past. This means that Nemanja Vidic will have to work hard as every other player in order to be sure of a starting place.

ONE WIN AWAY

Manchester United are just a win away from qualifying for the knockout stages of the Champions league. This could be achieved as early as in the match against Bayern Leverkusen on Wednesday. The pair of Robin van Persie and Nemanja Vidic were absent for the trip to Cardiff during the weekend.

United could only manage a 2-2 draw against the Welsh team. Manager David Moyes has revealed that he is hopeful of having the pair back into the squad for the encounter against Bayer Leverkusen. This will be a tough match given that the German team are undefeated in 13 matches at home.
