Gerard Pique says that he has never witnessed Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand

Former Manchester United defender Gerard Pique says that he has never witnessed Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand have a bad game as a partnership.

The duo played together for several years at United. Their quality was the basis behind United winning numerous titles towards the end of Sir Alex Ferguson’s regime. The departure of both players in recent years has been seen as an end of the era. The new-age central defenders are not just required to mark their opposition and keep them out of bay, but also be extremely good on the ball. This was something both Vidic and Ferdinand were good at even during their time according to Pique.

NemanjaVidic is staying at Inter Milan beyond the summer transfer window

The 33 year old Serbian defender, NemanjaVidic is currently performing with Inter Milan as he joined the Italian club on a free transfer on July of 2014. The debut season of Vidic at Inter Milan has been a mixed one as the defender received a red card during his first competitive match which Inter Milan played against Torino and ended in a goal-less draw.

Vidic has managed to step it up and recover from his horrendous debut match with the Italian club and he has even been linked with a return to Manchester United as the Premier League side is believed to be interested in re- signing NemanjaVidic but the agent of the defender has shut down all of those rumors.

Silvano Martina is the agent of NemanjaVidic and he has stated that the experienced defender will not be leaving Inter Milan in the summer.

Nemanja Vidic will soon Exit Inter Milan

Nemanja Vidic appears to be on the verge of an exit from Inter Milan after reportedly falling out with manager Roberto Mancini.

The Serbian defender only joined the Italian outfit in the summer after leading Manchester United on a free transfer. During his time at the Premier League outfit, Vidic became recognised as one of the best defenders in the world. His performances – even during his final few years at United – did drop but he was still seen as a top defender nonetheless. It is frequently reported that Vidic could engineer a move back to Old Trafford in the summer.

Milito confident on Management of Roberto

Former Inter Milan striker Diego Milito says that he is confident that his former club can return to their glory days under the management of Roberto Mancini, who returned to the club for a second spell.

The poor run of form throughout Walter Mazzarri’s regime did not appear to go away and the club decided to take action by sacking the former Napoli boss after the 2-2 draw against Hellas Verona. This was the third match without a win in all competitions for the Italian outfit and it left them ninth in the table.

Nemanja Vidic needs more time, says Roberto Mancini

New Inter Milan manager Roberto Mancini reckons that defender Nemanja Vidic needs more time to adapt in the Italian Serie A.

The manager has had to defend the Serbian who joined the club only in the summer. He was expected to bring some much-needed confidence, quality, and experience to the back four. His start to life in Italy has been extremely poor as Vidic has found himself on the wrong end of several goals conceded by his team.

This led to the 33-year-old immediately being dropped for Mancini’s first match in charge against arch-rivals AC Milan.

Vidic Speaks About The Champions League

Former Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic has spoken about the importance of returning to Champions League for his new club Inter Milan. The Serbian defender moved to Italy on a free transfer, thus bringing an end to his long spell at United. Vidic came to United in 2006 and was part of numerous title winning teams before becoming the captain of the club. Even though he has suffered several injury problems in the last two years, he still remains a defender at the top of his game. Inter Milan moved in quickly to secure his signature.

Vidic Claims He Should Have Joined Italian Club Sooner

New Inter Milan signing Nemanja Vidic has claimed that he should have joined an Italian club several years ago. Vidic became one of the best defenders in the world during his extended spell at Manchester United. He formed a great partnership with England international Rio Ferdinand in the team that won numerous titles including the Champions League. After eight years at Old Trafford, he finally switched to Italy with a free transfer to Inter Milan. He was recently unveiled at a press conference where he claimed that he should have joined Italian football several years ago.

Vidic Expected To Relearn For Inter

The Serbian defender Nemanja Vidic has already started playing with his new teammates in his new club, Inter Milan after being offloaded from Manchester United.

At his 32 years of age he will have to start learning a new playing style as well as a new language in order to completely fit in the club where he will be spending the last few years of his career.

After playing 8 seasons at Old Trafford in Manchester United where he once was considered to be the best defender in the world, the coach of Inter Milan Walter Mazzarri believes that Vidic will be able to adjust to the new environment soon.

Vidic Leaving United

After making over 200 league appearances for Manchester United, Nemanja Vidic is leaving the Premier League club but he had a few things to say in relation to the disastrous season that they experienced during the time that David Moyes was in charge of the team.

Vidic told the Daily Telegraph: “The players were being questioned, the manager was being questioned, and the club was being questioned. People end up saying the players are not good enough and we need to buy better ones. I am not saying we have had a good season. It was a bad time and the players could have done better. But everyone lost belief in the team.”

“I am not saying that the David Moyes way was bad, but these players feel more comfortable playing a certain way of football. You have to respect where you are and what you represent, though, and there is no point speaking about someone who was here, who everyone knows lost his job because he did not succeed in doing what he wanted to achieve’’.

VIDIC MOVES ON

Manchester United will have big shoes to fill in the summer when they head into the transfer market in search of a player to replace Nemanja Vidic, who has been the captain of the club in the last few years.

Replacing Vidic will be a tall order since the Serbian defender has been impressive for United since coming to the club in 2006. Former Manchester United midfielder David McCreery says that it is definitely a big job for United, but he is of the opinion that the club already have a player capable of filling in the boots. According to him, defender Jonny Evans is capable of replacing Vidic as the regular centre back for United.
